Lebanese cuisine

This semester of Uni we’re lucky enough to have class dedicated to styling. For our first assignment we had to create a food photography cover for a specific cuisine. I chose to do Hummus, which is a very traditional Lebanese dish. Many people took their images at home, whereas I came into the studio and set up my food and was shooting for 3 hours! I never realised how difficult styling food actually is and how many little elements you have to consider whilst shooting. I was very happy with my final outcome, as were my teachers J

Chelsea-

On the weekend I finally teamed up with my beautiful friend Chantelle and did a photo shoot on the beach, which we’ve wanted to do for a very long time. We chose Chelsea to be our model because she’s absolutely gorgeous and has amazing features. We road tripped down to black rock beach and took photos along the beach and also on the huge rocks. It was such an incredible day and Chelsea is such a good model…. Even though she tends to blink a lot haha! I’m very happy with the final photographs.

Catherine-

I had so much fun shooting the amazingly talented dancer; Catherine.
We went onto a rooftop and I shot a range of different shots for Catherine’s Dance folio.
Catherine has such a beautiful face and is very photogenic, so of course this was not hard for me at all. We had various costume changes and she looked absolutely amazing in everything she wore. I never imaged getting asked to take photos for a dance folio and I must say I had a lot of fun shooting this genre. I was very happy with the final results…

Eli-

Not long ago I did a photo shoot with my beautiful baby cousins Elijah. At only 5 months old, he’s already a photogenic little dude… Which is awesome for me! Bright and early I set up little props for Elis shot, I was pretty worried as I’ve NEVER taken photos of babies before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t use any lights other than natural lighting, we began shooting at around 9:00am and the light was perfect. With a few tears and some uncomfortable positions, we finally got there and I was so happy with the end result. To see Elis Mum get them printed and framed and used for various baby things, I was very happy! He is a true charmer.

Jade-

I absolutely love my Uni course – Every Wednesday we all work in the studios and today I played around with fast & slow shutter speeds with Jade..

Deana-

On Friday I did an amazing photo shoot with one of my very good friends Deana. This girl is beautiful inside and out! I did this shoot in a park nearby Deanas house. At first I thought I’d get Deana to pose in a very serious way though she has such an amazing smile how could I not settle for that?
This girl has one of the brightest smiles that I’ve ever seen and it sure did come out in the images.  This photo shoot definitely showed the beauty of nature – that’s why I love autumn so much!

Photo shoot-

This weekend I was a model for the beautiful Chantelle! It was such a fun day as we went around taking photos... And of course the eyelash changes haha! It felt so weird though because I'm not a model as I'm usually the one behind the camera taking photos rather than in front posing for photos... I had such an amazing day and I'm so glad Chantelle and I met that night at oasis,drunk. We've been closer than ever since :)
